We serve individuals who are looking to extend their flight horizons and participate in this exciting new life style.
Torrey Pines Gliderport seeks to promote Hang Gliding and Paragliding in a safe and exciting way, by combining intensive training, with comprehensive curriculum, and a knowledgeable instructor staff. We hope to become the total solution to the flight enthusiast in Southern California and the United States.
We intend to see Southern California become a destination for adventurers around the world, which harbors a safe environment, and provides a place where new skills can be attained and current skills refined.

Torrey Pines Gliderport believes the safety of students and enthusiasts is vital to the growth of the sports of Paragliding and Hang Gliding. For that reason, our training is tailored to meet each student’s individual needs. Many of the sports we offer are easy to learn, but take a lifetime to master. In light of this, we envision a training program that continues past the initial certification stage and includes instruction for the intermediate and advanced students.

Long Term
Ultimately our goal is to raise the level of PG / HG sporting skill and awareness in the United States as a whole for both new and matured enthusiasts. We have the ability to do this because we offer a program that is top ranked in the world, a matured professional instructor staff, a flying site which offers year round flying conditions and a high level of involvement to our students and the sport as a whole.
In addition to training, the Torrey Pines Gliderport hopes to utilize the excitement associated with the sports of Hang Gliding and Paragliding to achieve a higher level of public awareness. We can do this by organizing charitable events, special clinics, competitions, tours, and exhibit local events. Soon the visual ascetics of Paragliding and Hang Gliding will be available to all.
