TANDEM FLIGHT INSTRUCTION

Tandem flying with a certified instructor is a very unique experience. Torrey Pines Gliderport is a world class flying site, where soaring has been a primary activity since 1928. Tandem flying is available in hang gliders and paragliders. During the late winter and early spring, tandem flying in sailplanes is also available. The tandem flight program is recognized by many of our patrons as an ultimate life experience.

Lesson includes USHGA 30-day membership, 5-10 minutes of ground and safety school instruction, and 20-30 minutes of flight over the beautiful coastal cliffs of Torrey Pines and Blacks Beach. The price is for a paragliding tandem is $150.00 and a hang gliding tandem is $175.00.

People always ask, "Which is more exciting - paragliding or hang gliding?" The truth is our flight program has been operating for the past ten years and almost every one of our passengers have been satisfied with either.  The experience is getting the chance to fly with one of the most experienced tandem instructors in America. Few places in the world, do as many tandem flights on a yearly basis, and none match our safety record. The tandem program is available seven days a week. Most of the soaring takes place during the early afternoons.
