The Cliffhanger Café and Bar is located high atop the sea cliffs of Torrey Pines. Diners are treated to a breath-taking view of the Pacific Ocean as it spans from the beach 350 feet below, all the way to the horizon. If you’re lucky, you might catch a glimpse of dolphins or whales. Paragliders, hang gliders, RC gliders, and more all launching right in front of the outdoor dining area, make this a truly unique dining experience. (Please no outside food allowed)
The full-service deli-cafe and bar is open daily, offering lunch, snacks, and drinks. Come try our highly-acclaimed sandwiches, fresh salads, and soups! Snacks such as fruit, chips, etc are also available. Cold water, sports drinks, energy, soda, and coffee are also available. On the weekends we offer wood fired pizzas and a grill menu with burgers and fries.
Winter Hours: 10AM-4PM for food and last call for drinks at the bar is sunset
Summer Hours: 10AM-5PM for food and last call for drinks at the bar is sunset
Since our seating area is all outdoors, if the weather is raining or too foggy sometimes we close early. You can always call to check before coming out!
We have a full bar complete with local beers, wines, and specialty cocktails. Come enjoy sunset with a drink.

Live Music On The Weekends (Summer Only)
From May till September the Cliffhanger Café features live music and local bands on Saturday and sometimes Sunday. Stop by to have a bite to eat, a favorite drink, watch the pilots, and listen to some of San Diego’s best local artists perform at the Gliderport.
